Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how Unlikely Yogi uses and protects any information that you give to us when you use this web site. I am committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and any information I do collect will be handled according to this policy which was updated on the 1st of September 2020.

What Information I Collect

If you book onto one of my classes or events using BookWhen then I collect your name, email and phone number. For some events I will also ask for the the name and phone number for an emergency contact for you. Additionally, I ask a short series of medical questions to ensure that you are safe to participate in yoga activities. This information is sent to me via email. Names and emails are uploaded into MailChimp to send you offers and newsletters.

How I Use Your Information

I use your email to communicate with you and send you newsletter and marketing campaigns from time to time for events that may interest you. I use your mobile phone number to communicate any details about your yoga class which may be relevant, such as cancellations by text and/or WhatsApp. I keep your emergency contact information in case of an emergency and your health questionnaire is reviewed prior to your first class and kept on file just in case. I do not share your personal information with any other person or business for any reason.

Requesting, Removing or Updating Your Information

If you wish to see a copy of what I hold on file for you, please request this via email to nikki@unlikelyyogi.co.uk and I will send it back to you within 10 working days. If you want to change the information that I hold or request that it be deleted, this will also be carried out within 10 working days.

Facebook Pixel

Conversion tracking helps me to measure the return on investment of Facebook Ads by reporting on the actions people take after viewing those ads. I have created a pixel that tracks conversions, which has been added to my web site where the conversions will happen which then tracks these conversions back to the ads I am running on Facebook. No personal information is contained in or collected as a result of using these cookies or pixels. All of my activity falls within the bounds of Facebook’s Terms.

Google Analytics

I use Google Analytics to give me information about visitors to my web site so that I can better understand my site visitors. Google Analytics is a piece of software that grabs data about my visitors (you). It’s something like an advanced server log. It records what website you came from to get here, how long you stay for, what kind of computer you’re using and quite a bit more.

The tracking information allows me to better understand the kind of people who come to my site and what content they’re reading. This allows me to make better decisions about design and writing.

Occasionally, I will compile aggregate statistics about the number of visitors this site receives, and browsers being used. No personally identifying data is included in this type of reporting.

All my activity falls within the bounds of the Google Analytics Terms of Service.

If you want to opt out of tracking you can also opt out of Google’s advertising tracking cookie or use a browser plugin to opt out of all Google Analytics tracking software.
